Graduate Student Government (GSG)
  • Graduate Student Government (GSG) Mentoring and Advisory Council (GMAC) – participated in pilot program in which senior graduate students mentor new graduate students at UAB as a mentor
  • Community Service Committee  - Chair  (May - December 2014) duties include organize monthly community service activities and lead monthly meetings of the community service committee and communicate the results of these meetings with the GSG executive committee
  • Senator - representative of the Biology Department since August 2013, attended regular monthly GSG meetings as well as participated in the Community Service Committee organized projects

  • UAB Graduate Student Government Community Service – MLK Day of Service Activity 2015 - Clean up at C.J. Donald Elementary School, Fairfield, AL
  • Beautify your Block – Zion Neighborhood, Birmingham, MLK day of service 2014
  • Into the Woods - November 2013 Trail clean-up program organized through the UAB Outdoor program
